Well this was relly inspired by Tokas who keeps sending me shero-shyari and poetry. So I thought why not as per his instructions add some shayri to my blog.
There is a this very gazal I had heard some years back. I can't remember who did this originally but I fouund a variant by some unknown singer here.
The lyrics are really good. And I shall quote them here as well.
Woh chandani ka badan, kushbuoon ka saaya hai|
Bahut azeez hume hai magar, paraya hai||
Utar bhi aao kabhi, aasman ke jeene se|
Khuda ne tumhe, humare liye banaya hai||
Use kisi ki mohabbat ka aitbaar nahi|
use jamaane ne shayad bahut sataya hai||
mehek rahi hai jameeen chandani ke poolon se|
khuda kisi ke muhabbat pe muskuraya hai||
